One of the Second Growths as classified by the Bordeaux Official Wine Classification of 1855, Château Cos d'Estournel is situated on the border of Saint-Estèphe and Pauillac. It's right next-door to First Growth Château Lafite-Rothschild! Their plantings are roughly 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, as such this bottle has more Merlot than most Left-Bank Bordeaux wines. 2009, like 2005, is considered to be one of the best vintages in Bordeaux ever.
