Paul Bara Special Club Grand Cru Rosé 2013
Paul Bara is a grower producer dating back to the 1950s, though the Bara family has records in Champagne dating back to the 1600s. Today, Evelyne Dauvergne—Paul's daughter—manages the estate, producing some of the most meticulously made Champagne in the region.
The Special Club Grand Cru Rosé 2013 represents the best Paul Bara has to offer. As a Special Club Champagne, it has also undergone a rigorous blind tasting examination by members of the Club Trésors de Champagne, a group of grower producers in Champagne who put forth their best wines each year to the club to promote smaller Champagne producers. Many of the wines are rejected during two rounds of blind tasting by both member winemakers and outside tasters.
70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, all from Grand Cru fruit. Crisp, fruit-forward, and savory. A great match to a wide variety of cuisine (perfect for a holiday table) or to ring in the New Year.
