Returns and Exchanges
You have 30 days from your date of purchase to return or exchange your item. To initiate a return, you must forward your order confirmation to email@example.com with “The Alinea Group Store - Return” in the subject line. To initiate an exchange, you must forward your order confirmation to firstname.lastname@example.org with “The Alinea Group Store - Exchange” in the subject line.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition as when you received it, and in its original packaging. To be eligible for an exchange, your item must have been defective or damaged during shipping.
Several types of goods are not returnable. Perishable goods (e.g. beverages, food), fragile goods (e.g., the Alinea cookbook prints), and sales items cannot be returned. Spirit and Wine sales are not returnable.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and whether your refund has either been approved or rejected.
If your refund has been approved, then it will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning or exchanging your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. We recommend that you use a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned or exchanged item, and we are not responsible for any returns or exchanges lost in the mail.
